In-Game Menu

The in-game menu was finalized with a Modular User Interface. This efficiently utilized available space within the game’s small footprint, while applying textures within a Flash-based menu. A fine example of this is the Tlachtli style ring, a core element of the game’s concept crafted by an artist, which I repurposed throughout all screens. This resulted in a rich-looking interface en par with HoopWorld’s content.

Further development of the interface for the menu included cursors in various colors shaped like hands that indicate Player 1, Player 2, or a non-selected player. Icons were added to indicate Power Ups by name, such as “energy surge” and “da bomb”.
